Effective date: May 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MicroCache d.o.o. ("MicroCache", "we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the Focus Timer mobile application (the "App"). If you have questions, contact us at support@microcache.io.

Short version: Focus Timer is designed to be local-first. Your projects, tasks, notes, timer history, goals, and settings are stored on your device unless you choose to export or share them. We do not sell personal information and we do not use the App for advertising tracking.

1. Information stored in the App

The App may store the following information locally on your device:

This local App data is not sent to MicroCache servers as part of the core timer functionality.

2. Information processed by third-party services

The App uses third-party services to support purchases, analytics, app distribution, and platform functionality. These services may process limited technical information according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play and may be managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive or access purchase-related information such as product identifier, entitlement status, purchase status, store, app user identifier, and subscription status so the App can unlock Pro features and restore purchases.

Analytics

If Firebase Analytics is configured for the App, limited usage and technical events may be processed, such as app opens, paywall views, timer start/completion events, purchase flow events, device type, operating system, app version, approximate region, and app instance identifiers. We use this information to understand App reliability, feature usage, and purchase flow performance. We do not use analytics for advertising tracking.

Device permissions

The App may ask for notification permission so it can notify you when a timer or break ends. The App may also use document picker and sharing features when you choose to export or import backup files. The App does not require access to your contacts, precise location, microphone, camera, or photo library for its core functionality.

3. How we use information

We use information only for the following purposes:

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on the following legal bases:

5. Sharing information

6. Exported data and backups

If you export a backup or CSV file, you control where that file is saved or shared. Exported files may contain your projects, tasks, session history, notes, goals, and settings. You are responsible for protecting exported files and choosing trusted storage or sharing destinations.

7. Retention and deletion

Local App data remains on your device until you delete it, clear history, import a replacement backup, uninstall the App, or your operating system removes it. Purchase and analytics information may be retained by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Firebase, or MicroCache for as long as needed for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, security, and support purposes.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No app, device, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device, backups, store account, and device passcode secure.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as contractual protections or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
